Nine people have been arrested after five men were stabbed in a brawl outside a nightclub Halloween party.
The fight happened near Pam Pam nightclub off Bristol’s Clifton Triangle at 2.45am on Sunday.
Members of the public called police who discovered four men had been stabbed. A fifth arrived at hospital later.
A cordon is still in place at the scene taping off the area, including a double decker bus.
It is not known if the men had been at Pam Pam which hosted a sell-out ‘Get Ur Freak On’ Halloween party, featuring stilt walkers, dancers and magicians.
An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: “Nine people have been arrested following significant disorder in the Clifton area of Bristol today.
“Police were called at 2.45am to Queens Avenue, with members of the public reporting a number of people fighting in the street.
“Four males were found to have been stabbed. They were taken to hospital for treatment by paramedics.
A fifth male also presented at hospital with a similar injury.
“Four other people are also in police custody.
“A police cordon remains in place while officers continue to carry out enquiries at the scene.
“The neighbourhood team has been informed and additional high-visibility patrols will be conducted in the area going forward.”
Avon and Somerset Police said three of the five people hospitalised with stab wounds have been discharged into custody.
A spokesman for the force added that the other two patients – while arrested – are still being treated in hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
